Arneis di Villadoria is produced with grapes coming from the very suitable Roero hills. In the popular tradition of the area, the word "arneis" indicates an extroverted and slightly rebellious person, original and nice: all characteristics also typical of this wine. The grapes are harvested by hand, delicately pressed and vinified in white at a controlled temperature, in steel; then the wine refines briefly, again in steel, so as not to affect the varietal organoleptic characteristics in the slightest, and enters the bottle at the beginning of the year following the harvest.
ARNEIS VILLADORIA: TASTING
The Arneis di Villadoria appears straw yellow in the glass with youthful greenish reflections. On the nose it is gratifying and inviting, with hints of flowers, aromatic herbs and fruit; the lime flowers, sage, tomato leaf, broom, passion fruit, white melon and lime stand out in particular. The sip is fresh, full and with a typical almond finish. Delicious with amberjack ceviche and herb mayonnaise, as, more simply, with the courgette and herb fritatta.
