The Pinot Nero Graf from Cantina Merano is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested in the municipalities of Tirolo, Cermes, Merano, and Labers, in the province of Bolzano, with a yield of about 46 hectoliters per hectare. The vineyards originate from sandy-clay soils of glacial origin, at an altitude between 500 and 600 meters above sea level. During the red winemaking process, the alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature. The aging lasted several months in used oak barrels and barriques.

The Pinot Nero Graf from Cantina Merano presents itself to the eye with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses aromas of ripe small red berries, which encounter subtle hints of violet and notes of coffee grounds and dark spices. The tasting is intense and elegant, supported by a soft tannic structure and a long spicy and fruity finish. It is recommended to try it paired with aged cheeses and opulent meat dishes based on red meats or game.
