The Franciacorta Alma Assemblage by Bellavista is made from Pinot Noir (22%), Chardonnay (77%), and Pinot Blanc (1%). Its unmistakable personality is shaped by at least 75 of the 140 harvest variables that the company has available to "compose" its prestigious bubbles. Among these are also "reserve wines" from previous harvests that add further depth to the sensory profile of the cuvée. Additionally, fermentation and aging in small barrels of at least 35% of the wines that make up the assemblage contribute to this (the term cuvée refers to the union of multiple wines from different plots of land or from different vintages). The subsequent aging lasted 36 months on the lees in the bottle.
FRANCIACORTA BELLAVISTA ALMA ASSEMBLAGE: THE TASTING
The Franciacorta Alma Assemblage by Bellavista shines in the glass with a bright straw yellow color enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit and candied citrus intertwined with hints of honey and bread crust. On the palate, it captivates with its elegant texture and lively freshness that integrates well with the subtle mineral trail leading into the long and exciting finish, which is still played on fruity and citrus notes. Perfect as a festive sparkling wine and for special occasions, it pairs well with a full meal, delicious seafood recipes, or vegetarian dishes.
