Gaston Burtin's Champagne Brut is born from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from 50 villages in the Champagne wine region. The composition of the cuvèe included a percentage of reserve wines equal to 35% obtained with the Solera Method, an ancient aging technique based on the progressive decanting of different vintages, through a system of overlapping barrels. In compliance with the principles of the Champenoise Method, the second fermentation took place in the bottle where the wine remained in contact with the yeasts for at least 3 years before disgorgement. The residual sugar is equal to 8 grams/litre.
CHAMPAGNE BRUT GASTON BURTIN: THE TASTING
Gaston Burtin's Champagne Brut shines in the glass with a brilliant straw yellow color enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it expresses aromas of peach, pear and apricot together with notes of white flowers and hints of candied lemon and pastry. The sip is intense and velvety, supported by an elegant mineral freshness. The long finish plays on sensations of yellow fruit, honey and citrus fruits. At the table it can be fully enjoyed with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as tasty seafood dishes, especially raw and fried foods.
