Inferno by Nino Negri was obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes (locally called Chiavennasca) coming from the smallest sub-area of the DOCG Valtellina Superiore called Inferno characterized by steep terraces. During the winemaking, the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature with maceration of the must on the skins for 7 days. The refinement took place for 12 months in small wooden barrels.
INFERNO VALTELLINA SUPERIORE NINO NEGRI: THE TASTING
Inferno Valtellina Superiore by Nino Negri presents itself in the glass with an intense ruby red color with brilliant reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of ripe berries and hints of flowers and mountain herbs combined with notes of dark spices. The sip is intense and enveloping, supported by smooth tannins and a persistent fruity and spicy finish. At the table it goes well with cheeses and tasty first and second courses based on red meat.
Today, Nino Negri represents the Valtellina winemaking reality that best combines tradition and technology. To achieve great results, it is necessary to always work with the utmost commitment and continuously invest in the cellar and vineyards. Moving within the now largest Italian wine company, the winery founded by Nino Negri was able to make the most of the redefinition of its product, which includes several quality of wines. It has thus become the jewel in the crown of the Italian Wine Group thanks to the prestigious work of the oenologist Casimiro Maule (Oenologist of the Year in 2007), in office until to 2017, and by Danilo Drocco, who leads the winery to date.
Estimated between Monday 19 May and Friday 23 May.
