Cantine Capitani's Syrah is a label that the company began producing at the end of the nineties, in the context of a structured and long modernization and expansion that saw it begin to compete with international grapes and olive cultivation. We are in Trevignano Romano between the north coast of Lake Bracciano and the slopes of Monte di Rocca Romana. Syrah, whose best-known wines come from the Rhone Valley, is today widespread in Lazio due to the adaptability and good results found in the area. The harvest takes place at the end of September and the grapes are processed exclusively in steel.SYRAH IGP LAZIO 2018 CANTINE CAPITANI: TASTINGThe Syrah from Cantine Capitani is a beautiful deep ruby colour. It is attractive on the nose with pleasant hints of pepper, hints of coffee, notes of violet, blackcurrant and morello cherry. In the mouth it is warm, material, with good balance, enveloping tannin and balsamic finish. Excellent with ossobuco cooked on the grill, or more simply with grilled scamerita, and even with a sausage and bean risotto.
