Etna Rosso Lenza by Munti di Nicosia comes from 85% Nerello Mascalese and 15% Nerello Cappuccio grapes grown on lava terraces very rich in minerals, at an altitude of approximately 720 meters above sea level. The harvest was carried out by hand between the second and third week of October. The red winemaking process included a 24-hour cold maceration phase which allowed the extraction of the primary aromas of the fruit. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 22-24°C for a period of 10-15 days. The refinement took place mainly in stainless steel, lasting 4 months in tonneaux and a further 6 months in the bottle.
ETNA ROSSO LENZA DI MUNTI NICOSIA: THE TASTING
Etna Rosso Lenza by Munti di Nicosia has a ruby red color with brilliant reflections. On the nose it releases aromas of ripe red fruits that meet floral hints of violet and light notes of oriental spices. The sip is structured and elegant, enhanced by smooth tannins and a pleasant finish of blood orange peel. At the table it pairs very well with cured meats and semi-mature cheeses as well as tasty land dishes based on red meat.
