Delivery and Returns

The Chardonnay of Villa Lanata is produced in the vineyards around the Villa, in the municipality of Cossano Belbo, at an altitude between 250 and 350 meters above the sea, on clayey marl soil. The territorial proximity to the area of origin meant that the Chardonnay vine arrived in Piedmont during the first half of the 19th century. The favourable, cool and breezy climate, the beautiful hilly exposures and the suitable terrain have contributed to its success and diffusion. The grapes are harvested in September and pressed immediately; the must then ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and the wine is refined, again in steel tanks, for 6 months.
CHARDONNAY VILLA LANATA: THE TASTING
Villa Lanata's Chardonnay is bright straw yellow; on the nose it presents hints of white and yellow fruit, such as melon, peach and bergamot, and then continues on wild flowers, with a light mineral trail. On the palate it is quite fresh, tasty and with a long finish on the fruit. Good aperitif with the savory chard and ricotta pie, but also an excellent accompaniment for spaghetti with squid and asparagus tips.

Villa Lanata is a farm created to enhance the perfection of the Moscato and Chardonnay grapes that mature on the rolling hills of the Langhe, in Cossano Belbo. The company takes its name from the splendid Villa that dominates the vineyards estate, on the hill called “la Rovere”, once owned by Cardinal Lanata. The passion and dedication of the Martini family, and in particular the love for beauty that drives Eleonora Martini, have restored the construction to its former glory and have transferred the grace and architectural elegance in the wines that the company produces. This estate includes vineyards cultivated in Muscat Blanc and Chardonnay.
