Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Valpantena 2021 - Bertani
How the wine is produced:
Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Valpantena 2021 - Bertani is produced with the typical grape varieties of Valpolicella, namely Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by a maceration on the skins for 12-15 days. The wine then undergoes a second fermentation on Amarone grapes to achieve greater structure and aromatic complexity. Aging occurs for 18 months in oak barrels and for another 6 months in the bottle before being released on the market. The wine is produced in the Valpolicella region, in the municipality of Valpantena. The vineyards are situated on a clay-limestone soil with excellent sun exposure.

Amarone Classico Bertani is a timeless wine, an expression of a unique style that Bertani has always followed with dedication. A classic style that does not need to change, because it is always current. Amarone comes from Corvina and Rondinella grapes on the hills of Tenuta Novare, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, in vineyards dedicated only to drying grapes. Produced by Bertani since 1958, Amarone Classico Bertani means perfect harmony between time, nature and man: to it we dedicate our know-how and our passion, with a long wait and great care. The grapes are rested on the “aréle”, the bamboo cane racks, according to the traditional production method. Fermentation in cement and aging in large barrels for at least six years make its structure stable, making it one of the longest-lived red wines in the world.
