Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore with a ruby color and garnet red reflections. Intense and complex bouquet, it expresses notes of red fruits in jam and a wide spiciness. On the palate, the vibrant notes of currant, cherry, sour cherry, tobacco, licorice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Its persistent, warm, and full taste makes it a bold and harmonious wine at the same time.
Package: 3 bottles of 0.75 ltProduction area: Vineyards owned located in the municipalities of Offida, Ascoli Piceno, and Castel di Lama.Grapes: Montepulciano 70% - Sangiovese 30%.Average altitude: 200-300 meters above sea level.Soil type: Predominantly clayey, generally calcareous.Training system: Guyot.Planting density: 5000 vines per hectare.Yield per hectare: Approximately 80 quintals of grapes.Yield per vine: Approximately 1.6 kg of grapes.Harvest: Mid-October. Handpicked in small boxes.Fermentation: After destemming, the grapes are conveyed into 100 HL fermentation tanks that promote perfect irrigation of the cap during fermentation. This system ensures greater and more uniform contact between must and skins, increasing the extraction of polyphenols. Maceration times can exceed four weeks, a time invested to achieve the best results on the final product. After fermentation, the wine is placed in new barriques, where it remains for aging for about 16 months.
