Cusumano's Fosnuri Syrah was produced from 100% Syrah grapes coming from Tenuta San Giacomo located in the territory of Butera, in the province of Caltanissetta. The vineyards here are exposed to the South, rooted on white limestone soils, at an altitude of approximately 450 meters above sea level. During red vinification, the maceration of the must on the skins lasted for 25 days. The refinement lasted 18 months in 5 hectoliter barrels.
FOSNURI SYRAH SICILY CUSUMANO: TASTING
Cusumano's Fosnuri Syrah presents a deep ruby red color in the glass. On the nose it releases aromas of small red fruits, rose and violet combined with hints of undergrowth, black pepper and dark spices. The taste is soft and enveloping, supported by graceful tannins and a long savory and spicy finish. At the table it can be fully enjoyed with mature cheeses and tasty land recipes, especially if based on tomatoes and spices.
