Monte Rossa's Franciacorta Satèn Sansève is produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes from 22 crus distributed in the Franciacorta area. The harvest was carried out by hand in small boxes with a yield of 95 quintals per hectare. In the cellar, the bunches were further selected for no more than 55% of the yield and subjected to soft pressing. The alcoholic fermentation took place 85% in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures and 15% in oak barrels. Each cru was vinified in purity and then assembled together with a smaller percentage of reserve wines (20%). After bottling and secondary fermentation, the wine aged for 24 months in contact with the yeasts.
FRANCIACORTA SATEN SANSEVE MONTE ROSSA: TASTING
The Franciacorta Satèn Sanseve by Monte Rossa presents a straw yellow color with golden reflections enlivened by an elegant peralage. On the nose it offers fragrant aromas of white and yellow pulp fruit combined with hints of aromatic herbs and citrus notes. Hints of toasted almonds and pastries enrich the olfactory profile. The sip is intense and silky, with persistent freshness and minerality. Ideal as an aperitif, it goes well with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as delicious seafood recipes based on white fish, molluscs and bark.
