Delivery and Returns

Nino Negri's Sfursat 5 Stars was obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes - locally called Chiavennasca - harvested late to allow the fruit to overripen on the plant (and therefore a higher sugar concentration and a lower water content). After the harvest, the bunches were left to dry further for about 90 days in a natural way. The fermentation process took place in steel with long maceration on the skins. Before marketing, the wine rested for 16 months in French Alliers barriques plus a further 6 months in the bottle. This is the flagship of the Nino Negri winery's production, the result of a careful selection of the best bunches. An excellent red from heroic viticulture (so called because it is practiced on impervious slopes) typical of Valtellina.
SFURSAT 5 STARS NINO NEGRI: THE TASTING
The Sfursat di Valtellina 5 Stelle by Nino Negri presents an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections in the glass. On the nose emerge aromas of red fruit jam intertwined with minty hints and clear notes of dark spices. Soft and deep, on the palate it reveals a delicate tannic texture and a strong tasting persistence. At the table it pairs well with cured meats and mature cheeses as well as structured recipes based on red meats and game.
Today, Nino Negri represents the Valtellina winemaking reality that best combines tradition and technology. To achieve great results, it is necessary to always work with the utmost commitment and continuously invest in the cellar and vineyards. Moving within the now largest Italian wine company, the winery founded by Nino Negri was able to make the most of the redefinition of its product, which includes several quality of wines. It has thus become the jewel in the crown of the Italian Wine Group thanks to the prestigious work of the oenologist Casimiro Maule (Oenologist of the Year in 2007), in office until to 2017, and by Danilo Drocco, who leads the winery to date.
Estimated between Tuesday 20 May and Monday 26 May.
