Arnaldo Caprai's Montefalco Rosso is one of the company's historic labels, in production since 1975. It is made up of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and the remaining 15% Merlot, all trained using spurred cordon. The grapes are vinified with cutting-edge methods in the cellar completely renovated in 1997, and always updated according to eco-sustainability parameters. The wine ages 12 months in Slavonian oak and French oak barriques and at least 4 months in the bottle before being released on the market.MONTEFALCO ROSSO ARNALDO CAPRAI: TASTINGThe Montefalco Rosso di Caprai enters the glass with a beautiful vivid ruby red. On the nose it is fruity with notes of cherry and blueberry, pleasantly flowery, with hints of balsamic and sweet spices. The drink is tight and fresh, with a good balance between softness and tannic texture. This wine is the perfect companion for cured meats and semi-mature cheeses, as well as succulent first courses such as Amatriciana or even pizza.
