The San Gaetano by Cantine Due Palme was produced with 100% Primitivo grapes grown on soil characterized by red soil with a calcareous and rocky substrate. During the winemaking process, the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel with maceration of the must on the skins for 14 days which enriched the wine in terms of colour, structure and extracted substances. The refinement lasted 6 months in American oak barriques.
PRIMITIVE DI MANDURIA SAN GAETANO CANTINA DUE PALME: THE TASTING
The Primitivo di Manduria San Gaetano by Cantine Due Palme offers an intense ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose it offers aromas of ripe red fruits, rose and violet which meet hints of cocoa powder, vanilla and dark spices. The taste is warm and enveloping, supported by structured tannins and a soft finish of fruit and spices. At the table it can be enjoyed to the full with cheeses and succulent land dishes based on red meat.
