The Susumaniello Serre by Cantine Due Palme was obtained from 100% hand-harvested Susumaniello grapes. The red winemaking process included an alcoholic fermentation phase in stainless steel followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques. The refinement took place for 6 months in French oak barriques. The Susumaniello vine refers to the expression "load the donkey" due to its high productivity in the young phase of the plants; it is also known for the intensity of its color which is reminiscent of blue.
SUSMANIELLO SERRE CANTINE DUE PALME: TASTING
The Susumaniello Serre by Cantine Due Palme presents itself to the eye with an impenetrable ruby red color with blue reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of ripe red fruits, rose, carnation which meet notes of graphite and dark spices. The sip is intense and well-structured, with a strong fruity taste. At the table it goes well with mature cheeses as well as tasty land dishes based on red meat or game.
