Puiatti's Ribolla Gialla was obtained from 100% Ribolla Gialla grapes grown in the area of Romans d'Isonzo (GO), in the Zuccole area. The harvest took place manually at the end of September. The winemaking process took place at a constant temperature of 12 °C in the "white" method, and therefore without maceration in contact with the skins and without the use of malolactic fermentation which has the task of smoothing the structure and aromatic edges some wine. Before marketing, Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia IGT Lus 2018 was refined for a few months in stainless steel and for a short period in the bottle.
RIBOLLA GIALLA PUIATTI: TASTING
Puiatti's Ribolla Gialla is revealed to the eye as having a clear straw yellow color in reference to the name of the wine, Lus, which in Friulian dialect means light. On the nose it expresses fragrant aromas of acacia and white flowers combined with strong notes of flint. On the palate it is balanced, fresh, pleasantly mineral. Excellent as an aperitif, at the table it pairs well with fresh and semi-mature cheeses, vegetarian dishes and seafood recipes based on white fish, molluscs and crustaceans.
