The Cabernet Sauvignon of Cantina d'Isera comes from the vineyards of the hills of Pomarolo and Villa Lagarina. We are about 250 meters above sea level, exposed to the east-south-east, on the typical soils of the area: clayey soils with gravel, limestone and basalts. The vineyards are trained with the traditional simple Trentino pergola and are ready for harvest in the first half of October. The grapes are traditionally vinified in red in stainless steel vats with temperature control, then the wine is aged partly in concrete tanks, partly in steel.
CABERNET SAUVIGNON CANTINA D'ISERA: TASTING
The Cabernet Sauvignon from Cantina d'Isera appears in the glass as a deep ruby red, with purple hues. On the nose it offers the fruit of plum, blackberry and cherry, then spicy hints of black pepper and cloves and delicate varietal nuances of green pepper. In the mouth it is tasty, with delicate tannins and a finish with aromatic returns. It is very good with semi-cured cured meats, as with grilled meats, for example picanha, perhaps served with a light horseradish cream or whipped pepper butter.
