The Falanghina Vulcanico di Paternoster was born along the fascinating slopes of Monte Vulture. The organically managed Paternoster vineyards rise up to 643 meters above sea level; the twenty hectares of property are divided into small parcels between the districts of Barile. The porous tuff soil retains winter rains, thus becoming an important reserve during the hot and dry summer months of Basilicata, while the important day-night temperature variations implement the formation of aromas. The grapes are vinified in thermoregulated stainless steel fermenters and the wine then ages for 5 months, again in steel, on its own yeasts.
FALANGHINA VOLCANIC PATERNOSTER: THE TASTING
The Falanghina Vulcanico of Paternoster shows itself in the bright straw yellow glass. The nose is exuberant, with fruity notes of white melon, peach and medlar that intertwine with floral notes of chamomile and hawthorn, and balsamic and sage notes; all in a smoky mineral embrace. The mouth is fresh and tasty, with a good structure and a long and slightly bitter finish. Very good accompanied by spring vegetable lasagne and pecorino del Vulture.
