The Salice Salentino Montecoco by Cantine Due Palme was obtained from Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes harvested in September in the Montecoco area, a hamlet of Cellino San Marco (BR). During winemaking, the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel with maceration of the must on the skins for 8 days. The refinement lasted 6 months in French oak barriques plus a short period in the bottle.
SALICE SALENTINO MONTECOCO CANTINE DUE PALME: TASTING
Cantine Due Palme's Montecoco is an intense ruby red colour. On the nose it offers aromas of plum and red fruits combined with hints of Mediterranean scrub and dark spices. The sip is soft and intense, characterized by vigorous and well-integrated tannins. The finish played on spicy and toasted tones is pleasant. At the table it goes well with cured meats and cheeses as well as tasty ground preparations based on red meats.
