Terre Alte by Livio Felluga is a glorious label, one that should be tasted at least once in a lifetime. Produced since 1981, it is a harmonious blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco, and Sauvignon grapes, cultivated in Rosazzo in the historic vineyards of Terre Alte, which Livio Felluga fell in love with as early as the 1950s and gradually brought back to life. The harvest takes place in the second half of September; the grapes are gently destemmed and left to macerate for a short period. They are then softly pressed, and the resulting must is clarified through decantation. Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon ferment at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks where they mature for about ten months. The Friulano, on the other hand, is fermented and aged in small French oak barrels. At the end of this period, the wine is blended and further aged for 9 months in the bottle.

Terre Alte by Livio Felluga is an intense and bright straw yellow. On the nose, it delights and relaxes with notes of mint, chamomile, jasmine, then gooseberry, white peach, citrus, almond paste, licorice, brininess, and scorched rock. The taste is long and exhilarating in the balance between fruit and minerality. It should never be served too cold, first enjoyed on its own, then accompanied by a great seafood crudo, or with a snail risotto with herbs.
