The Podere Sapaio company, founded close to the 21st century - in 1999 to be exact - was founded by the current owner Massimo Piccin. Located in Tuscany, on the border between Castagneto Carducci and Bibbona, it can now count on an extension of about 25 hectares of vineyards, mostly composed of typical Bordeaux vines such as the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Other types of vines are also present, albeit in small quantities. The company is conducted following a philosophy that brings together innovation and experimentation, in order to produce powerful, elegant and long-lived wines at the same time, creating new expressions of Bordeaux vines in the territory of Bolgheri. All production steps are scrupulously and constantly monitored, always trying to achieve what is the main objective: to achieve the maximum in each label expression of varietal and terroir, and at the same time enhancing and emphasizing every single nuance contained in the fruit. With over 100,000 bottles produced annually, the two wines that are currently made are curated by the oenologist Carlo Ferrini: both Bordeaux cuts, interpret each individual in a different way vintage, differentiating in origin, selection and degree of ripeness of the grapes.
Estimated between Friday 20 June and Thursday 26 June.
