Le Piane's Maggiorina derives from a blend of Nebbiolo, Croatina and 10 other native white and red grape varieties harvested between the municipalities of Boca and Prato Sesia, in the province of Novara. The peculiarity of this wine is in the ancient cultivation system of the same name, workable only by hand, which is based on four vines capable of developing four cardinal points. During the red vinification, the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel with maceration of the must on the skins for 5-6 days. The refinement took place for 12 months, always in stainless steel.
MAGGIORINA LE PIANE: TASTING
Le Piane's Maggiorina offers a ruby red color to the eye. On the nose it begins with aromas of small fruits and red berries and floral hints of violet that meet spicy and aromatic herbal notes. The taste is soft and aromatic, fresh and with good minerality. Well integrated tannins. At the table it goes well with cured meats and cheeses as well as delicious land recipes.
