The Brunello di Montalcino by Altesino is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown in the prestigious territory of Montalcino, in the province of Siena. An award-winning red that reveals an excellent interpretation of one of the most acclaimed wines in the global wine scene, the Brunello di Montalcino (DOCG since 1980) which, according to regulations, can only be produced and bottled within the historical boundaries of the municipality of Montalcino and marketed no earlier than 5 years after the harvest. The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2017 by Altesino is the result of 4 years of aging in wood (of which 2 in large oak barrels) plus an additional 4 months in the bottle.

The Brunello di Montalcino by Altesino captivates the eye with its pale ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses intense aromas of marasca cherries and small red fruits intertwined with delicate floral hints of violet and evolved notes of tobacco, chocolate, and sweet spices. The palate is full and balanced, characterized by a velvety tannic structure and an elegant fresh-salty finish that lingers. At the table, it pairs well with aged cheeses and structured land dishes based on red meats and game.
