The Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina di Antinori is made from Sangiovese grapes and other complementary red grape varieties grown in the Centoia area, in the province of Arezzo. After harvesting, the grapes were transported to the winery to undergo differentiated winemaking processes: most of the must was macerated on the skins for a period of 10-12 days at a controlled temperature of 30°C; the remaining portion underwent a maceration of 7-8 days at a temperature of 25°C. Before bottling, the Chianti Superiore DOCG Santa Cristina di Antinori aged partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel tanks for a period of 12 months.
CHIANTI SUPERIORE SANTA CRISTINA ANTINORI: TASTING
The Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina di Antinori presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color and purple reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of marasca cherry, plum, and red fruits intertwining with balsamic notes and dark oriental spices. The palate is fresh and smooth, supported by polished tannins and a gentle minerality that lingers in the finish. At the table, it pairs well with cured meats and semi-aged and aged cheeses, as well as with tasty meat-based recipes featuring red meats or game.

The Antinori Family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: from when, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, through 26 generations, the family has always managed this business directly with innovative and sometimes courageous choices but always maintaining respect for traditions and for the territory. Tradition, passion and intuition were the driving qualities that led the Antinori Marquises to establish themselves as one of the main Italian producers of high quality wines.
