The Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori by Antinori is born from a blend of Sangiovese (90%) and Cabernet grapes (10%) grown in the prestigious Tignanello estate in Mercatale in Val di Pesa, in the province of Florence, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. After the harvest, the grapes were de-stemmed and subjected to soft pressing. The resulting must was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place for about 7 days, with skin maceration necessary for the extraction of aromas, color, and substances such as tannins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was blended and aged for about 12 months in French and Hungarian oak barriques. Before being marketed, the Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori 2017 rested in the bottle for an additional 12 months. It is produced only in the best vintages.
CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA MARCHESE ANTINORI: TASTING
The Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori seduces the eye with its intense ruby red color. On the nose, it releases enveloping aromas of marasca and ripe red fruit that blend with gentle balsamic hints and warm notes of vanilla and sweet spices. The taste is round and balanced, characterized by a smooth tannic structure and a distinct fresh-salty trail that persists in the long finish. At the table, it pairs well with cured meats and aged cheeses as well as with structured first and second courses based on red meats or game.

The Antinori Family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: from when, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florentine Art of the Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, through 26 generations, the family has always managed this business directly with innovative and sometimes courageous choices but always maintaining respect for traditions and for the territory. Tradition, passion and intuition were the driving qualities that led the Antinori Marquises to establish themselves as one of the main Italian producers of high quality wines.
