Kofererhof's Gewürztraminer was obtained from 100% Gewürztraminer grapes grown on the company estate located in the municipality of Varna near Bressanone (BZ). The vineyards here are exposed to the South and are rooted in sandy soils characterized by the presence of slate and granite at an altitude between 600 and 900 meters above sea level. The winemaking included an alcoholic fermentation phase in stainless steel tanks during which the sugars in the must were converted into alcohol. The refinement took place for a few months in stainless steel.
GEWURZTRAMINER KOFERERHOF: THE TASTING
Kofererhof Gewürztraminer stands out to the eye as having a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose it begins with aromas of litchi and tropical yellow pulp fruit which combine floral hints of yellow rose and notes of aromatic herbs. On the palate it is soft and aromatic with good freshness and minerality. The fruity and floral finish is long and elegant. At the table it is perfect in combination with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as tasty seafood recipes. Try it with the timeless paella de marisco.
