Cabernet Maremma Toscana Rosso IGT Botrosecco 2023 – Le Mortelle

Red wine from Tuscany produced by Le Mortelle, a property of the Antinori family in the heart of Maremma. Botrosecco 2023 belongs to the DOC Maremma Toscana designation and is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with an alcohol content of around 14% vol.

The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, with alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of about 25 °C and maceration on the skins for about 15 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in barriques for 9 months, followed by an additional period in the bottle.

In the glass, it presents a ruby red color. The nose reveals notes of red fruit, with hints of cherry and currant, accompanied by nuances of eucalyptus, Mediterranean herbs, tobacco, white pepper, and cocoa. On the palate, it is enveloping, flavorful, with soft tannins and a long and pleasant finish, where notes of fresh fruit and spices return.

Excellent paired with red meats, roasts, game, flavorful pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.

Recommended serving temperature: 18–20 °C.
