The Chardonnay Valle d'Aosta by Les Cretes is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes coming from the Les Crêtes area of Aymavilles and Frissonnière of Saint Christophe, in the Aosta region. The reference vineyards, facing Northeast and trained in Guyot style, are rooted in moraine, loose, and sandy soils, at an altitude ranging from 600 to 800 meters above sea level. The harvest is done by hand, around mid-September. To initiate the white winemaking process, the whole bunches were subjected to gentle pressing. The alcoholic fermentation of the must lasted for 12 days in stainless steel at a temperature of 13°C. The aging was for 3 months in contact with the yeasts.

The Chardonnay Valle d'Aosta by Les Cretes presents a brilliant straw-yellow color. On the nose, it offers aromas of plum and yellow-fleshed fruit that meet hints of wildflowers and notes of honey and mountain herbs. The taste is soft and intense, supported by an enveloping minerality and a pronounced fruity and floral flavor that lingers in the finish. At the table, it pairs well with blue cheeses and succulent seafood dishes based on white fish, mollusks, and shellfish.
