Poggiomasso was born with the aim of producing certified mountain wines by Cervim. The company and the vineyards are located in Rocca Sinibalda in eastern Sabina, at hilly altitudes, in the Turano valley, the natural corridor that runs from the southeastern edges of the Rieti plain towards Carsoli through the Turano lake, surrounded by dense woods partially interrupted by grassy areas. To the east rises the mountain group of Monte Navegna and Monte Cervia, which separates it from the area of Lake Salto. Here, red grape varieties Montepulciano, Sangiovese, and Cesanese, as well as white grape varieties Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco, and Chardonnay are cultivated.
