The Vermentino Spera from the Siddùra winery embodies an important meaning: Spera in Gallura dialect means "beam of light". This award-winning Vermentino comes from vineyards approximately 250 meters above the sea; the soils of the Siddùra vineyards are a mix of granite, sand and clay. They are loose, often arid soil, ideal for viticulture. In these conditions the vine sinks its roots deep in search of water and does not waste energy in producing excess vegetation, but conserves and concentrates it for the fruit. The good temperature variations, the ventilated climate and the excellent radiation from the delicate slopes then allow the natural healthiness of the plants. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets; after soft pressing, the must ferments slowly in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The refinement is always carried out in steel, on the yeasts.

The Vermentino di Gallura Spera from the Siddùra winery is lively straw yellow, with greenish reflections. On the nose it smells of the sea, Mediterranean scrub, yellow melon, sage, oregano and slightly recalls mace. In the mouth it is salty, broad and slim at the same time, rich in fruit and with a slightly bitter finish. Really interesting and territorial drink, it's fantastic with linguine with sea urchins.
