Firriato's Chardonnay Chiaramonte was born on the Dàgala Borromeo estate, in the Trapani countryside, 15 km from the coast. The estate covers 40 hectares of vineyards mainly with Nero d'Avola and Inzolia. The soils are alluvial and have a mud-sandy nature, the microclimate is dry, ventilated and characterized by strong temperature variations between day and night. The harvest takes place manually in the first days of August. The vinification takes place in steel, then the wine rests for 3 months on the noble lees or "sur lie" in tanks, also in steel, with daily agitation.
CHARDONNAY CHIARAMONTE FIRRIATO: THE TASTING
Firriato's Chardonnay Chiaramonte appears in the glass as a fresh straw yellow with greenish nuances; on the nose it is relaxing with hints of banana, papaya, pineapple and mango. In the mouth it is full and fresh, with good flavor and acidity. It is pleasant to accompany with fried octopus, with raw seafood seasoned only with oil, salt and pepper, and also with a fresh puree of courgettes.
