This Malbec is a unique discovery because it comes from vines mixed among the oldest vines of the Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon. This makes this wine one of the oldest Malbec in Chile. In color it is a beautiful deep purple, bouquet with very intense aromatic notes of black fruits, blackberries, ripe lingonberries, with a little hint of violet on the finish. Its tannins in the mouth are very silky and velvety, blend with great acidity, creating a long finish.

Vinification: The fermentation process is done with indigenous yeasts. This wine is transferred naturally, without the use of filters, to obtain the full expression of the variety.
Aging: The wine is aged for 12 months.
Pairings: Its qualities make it a very versatile wine that fits well with different preparations, from pasta to seafood, to sauces with basil. Perfect for pairing with chocolate sweets.

The Clos de Luz winery is located in Chile, in the Valley of Almahue, a small vineyards of only 120 hectares between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes. Known for being the 'birthplace' of the Carménère grape variety in Chile, the Almahue region is one of the areas of the world where this grape variety has been cultivated since time immemorial, since since the time of Spanish colonization. In this area, isolated from phylloxera, wines acquire unique richness and complexity; the production style favors freshness, acidity and fruity scents, with a well-calibrated use of wood and never excessive. This is how intensely expressive red wines with a strong character are born.
