The Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Villa Gemma di Masciarelli is produced from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown in the municipalities of San Martino and Santa Marruccina, in the province of Chieti. The vineyards, trained in the Abruzzo pergola style, are rooted in clayey soils that are moderately calcareous, at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level. After the harvest, carried out with a yield of 90 quintals per hectare, the grapes underwent crushing and destemming to obtain the must. The alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature with a 24-hour maceration of the must on the skins. The aging process lasted 5 months in contact with the fine lees.
CERASUOLO D'ABRUZZO VILLA GEMMA MASCIARELLI: TASTING NOTES
The Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Villa Gemma di Masciarelli presents a light pink color with brilliant reflections. On the nose, it showcases aromas of cherry, sour cherry, and small red fruits followed by floral notes of rose and violet, along with subtle citrus hints. The taste is fresh and savory with a distinctly fruity flavor. It pairs well with cold cuts and cheeses as well as light meat and seafood dishes, especially those based on tomato. A must-try with Mediterranean-style red tuna tartare.

Masciarelli's philosophy revolves around three fundamental concepts: family, understood as the working nucleus from which everything was born and through which to constantly compare and improve; the love for Abruzzo, its traditions and its unique culture; the work of the land, carried out with passion and determination to produce exceptional fruits and, consequently, a great wine.
