La Segreta Rosso by Planeta was produced from 50% Nero d'Avola, 25% Merlot, 20% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the area of Menfi (AG) and Noto (SI). The vineyards of origin are located on soils of various types, generally clayey or calcareous, at an altitude ranging from 45 to 430 meters above sea level. The harvest was carried out with a yield of 70-90 quintals per hectare. During the red vinification - i.e. maceration of the must in contact with the skins - the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel at a maximum temperature of 24-25°C for 7-8 days. The refinement took place in stainless steel for a period of 6 months.
LA SECRETA ROSSO PLANETA: THE TASTING
La Segreta Rosso by Planeta reveals an intense ruby red color to the eye. On the nose it expresses aromas of mulberry and berries which intertwine with hints of Mediterranean balsamic herbs. The taste is pleasant and balanced, supported by smooth tannins. Fruity and balsamic finish. Versatile in character, at the table it pairs well with delicious land recipes based on tomato or red meat.
